Air Pixels · Drone comparison engine

Drone specs, recalculated for the field.

Brochure numbers assume no wind, room temperature and sea level. Set your mission conditions and every drone below is recalculated with the same physics: usable flight time, mission radius, mapping coverage, storage and the true cost of a field-ready kit.

Method

How the numbers are calculated.

Usable flight time

Brochure flight and hover times, reduced for wind drag against the drone’s rated wind limit, cold or hot batteries, thinner air at elevation, and your landing reserve. Mission radius assumes a headwind on one leg.

Mapping coverage

Ground sample distance from the sensor width, focal length and image width. Flight speed is capped by the camera’s photo interval, motion blur at your shutter speed and rolling-shutter distortion.

Storage and workflow

Data per battery at the camera’s top bitrate, the card speed class it needs, and how many batteries keep the drone flying non-stop while the others charge.

Kit cost and FAA tier

Base price plus three extra batteries, a charging hub and ND filters. Impact energy is estimated at the drone’s speed, up to 16 m/s. Weight sets the FAA tier.

These are estimates for planning, not test results. Manufacturer specs are taken as published; spot an error on a drone’s page and send a correction.
